Thanksgiving is hands down one of my favorite meals to cook and eat…over and over. I will make up any excuse to get my family and friends together to try out some of my new recipes or Murphy favorites. I have put together a collection of my go-to dishes that have been fan favorites for a couple of years now. Feel free to add your own twist to these dishes, just remember that meals are always best with someone you love and your favorite glass of wine.
Bacon Deviled Eggs
It is not very often that we have a family gathering in my house and deviled eggs are left off the menu. This fun twist on deviled eggs will make just about anyone give them a shot. Bring on the bacon!
Gluten-Free Cornbread Dressing
When I found out my husband had a problem with gluten I started looking at Thanksgiving dressing in a new way. Growing up we would always use white bread when making our stuffing but when I found this gluten-free cornbread I knew I had to give it a shot. *Note this is spicy!
Bacon and Corn Dish
Anytime you think a dish cannot get any better add some red pepper flakes and bacon. This creamy dish is the perfect side to add a little heat to your normal Thanksgiving menu.
Cranberry-Orange Sauce
I am a firm believer that cranberry sauce is not meant to come out of a can. Cooking this cranberry-orange sauce will add a beautiful aroma to your kitchen that sets the mood for the dinner to come.
Leftover Halloween Candy Cookies
Every year the kids are bringing home more and more candy at Halloween. If you have not finished it off pairing it with wine (click here for Halloween candy and wine pairing suggestions) then I have a recipe for you. These cookies are a great way to get that candy out of your house.
I hope one or two of these recipes will help you out this holiday season. Remember to share your photos with me on Instagram or Facebook, especially if you found a way to change-up one of these recipes.
Happy Thanksgiving from the Murphy family!
