This weekend we had a date night at the new Hardware gastropub in North Aurora. This spot is known for the small plates that are meant to be shared, my favorite type of meal.
They have a Hop farm on the property, they plan to start using them in the beer next year. They have a green house where all the lettuce and herbs are grown. They have a room to smoke the meat on the property as well!
The BBGB Hop Farm is right across from the parking lot…might be a cute backdrop for a small wedding.
Check out these rolls. They used spent grain from the beer to add flavor.
$9 Beer Flights are offered to try four of the six beers. A fun fact, they use coffee brewed at The Saddle Room in Hoffman Estates.
Here is Parker’s Stickey Chicken. Super delicious but very small portion if you plan on sharing.
This was hands down my favorite dish. There was so much flavor and a great finish of spice. Korean Pork $13
This dish came with special instructions of cutting everything up and mixing together.

This was Mike’s favorite dish, Duck Under Glass. They bring the dish out in a mason jar and pour it in front of you. $20
Great outdoor seating. Friday when we visited they did not offer food service outside. You could grab a drink from the bar and bring it out.
Look at all that produce growing on the side of restaurant!
