Traveling Murphy’s List of Things to Do This Weekend

Not many people can say this but the end of January through mid March is probably one of my favorite times of year. Why you might ask do I like the coldest months of the year and live in the Chicago Suburbs? Well, that would be because of all the Restaurant Weeks. It is almost non-stop from the start of Chicago’s Restaurant Week in January through the last one in March that you can taste your way through numerous communities.

Check out a couple of new restaurants on your way to some of these local events. There are a lot of dishes to be tried my friend!

Chicago Northwest Restaurant Week
February 18-28, 2016
The Schaumburg area has so many restaurants to try that it would take something like Restaurant Week to try a good majority of them. Restaurant Week is your perfect excuse to get out and sample some of the cuisine. Prices range from $20-$40 for a meal. Diners can try everything from Cooper’s Hawk to the Snuggery to Clementi’s Pizzeria & Bar. Let your inner foodie run wild in this 10 day tour.

St. Charles Restaurant Week
February 22-26, 2016
St. Charles Restaurant Week is back! Print the coupon from the City of St. Charles website and show it at restaurants to receive 20% off your total bill. There are so many great restaurants it will be hard to choose which ones to stop at but here are a couple of my recommendations: Rookies, Shakou Sushi, The Finery & Blacksmith Shop.
